#BeatCancer: the most widespread social networking message

 
BeatCancer has set the Guiness World Record for being the “Most Widespread Social Networking Message.
 (This record was set in 2009 with 209,771 unique mentions in 24 hours using the #BeatCancer tag)

How it works?
  • Users are encouraged to send a tweet, update their Facebook status or write a blog post including the #beatcancer hashtag (within 24 hours)
  • PayPal and SWAGG will donate $0.05 for every mention with the hashtag to cancer charities.
Results?
  • Raised more than $70,000 in the process
  • Garnered about 100 million impression
